Steam-Air Retorts Overview

Allpax manufactures production capacity, severe-duty Steam-Air sterilization retorts that are used to process pouches, trays, and bottles. The Allpax Steam-Air Retorts utilize a forced-convection / fan-driven circulating steam process with overriding air pressure to preserve container integrity. Pressure cooling is accomplished in the machine by using a water showering system.

We manufacture a full range of production-size Steam-Air Retorts, from 42" / 1100mm to the Jumbo 72" / 1800mm diameters. Allpax Steam-Air Retorts are available in lengths from 1 basket to 8 basket capacity.

Customer options include the addition of a flooded cooling process, automatic or manually-opened doors, and either swing-open doors or the space-saving Allpax Orbit door. The machines are fabricated in 304 stainless steel, and the customer may specify 316-grade stainless steel materials for fabrication.

Allpax retorts come equipped with the Allpax Monitor fully automatic retort control system. Monitor has been designed to meet the validation requirements of 21 CFR, Part 11 for electronic records. Contact Allpax with your container sizes and specifications for a free retort capacity analysis.
